Everyday Practice designed the key visual for the reopening of the Seolmundaehalmang Complex, capturing the identity and mythology of Seolmundaehalmang. In Jeju mythology, Seolmundaehalmang is a primordial female deity who created the island and nurtured life—a vast and sacred presence. Centered around this myth, we explored Jeju’s unique nature, ecology, and culture, aiming to reinterpret the image of the goddess through a contemporary visual language.

To visualize the divine and monumental image of Seolmundaehalmang alongside the island’s ecological character, we translated Jeju’s native colors and textures into painterly expressions. The goddess’s immense silhouette is rendered in abstract form, expanding into a visual narrative where myth and reality, imagination and nature coexist.
