경남도립미술관에서 열린 <보통사람들의 찬란한 역사>는 조선 후기부터 오늘에 이르기까지 한국미술에 기록된 ‘평범한 사람’과 그 주변 ‘일상’에 주목한 전시입니다. 전시는 한국역사 속 시대적 상황과 함께 평범한 사람들의 모습과 삶이 어떻게 변화해 왔는지 살펴보고, 한국미술사의 다채로운 변화도 한눈에 조망하고자 합니다.
일상의실천은 다양한 시대상과 연령층이 반영된 평범한 사람들의 초상화를 전시에 사용된 작품에서 발췌해, 시대를 관통하는 키비주얼을 바탕으로 도록을 제작했습니다. 역사의 희미하지만 찬란함을 상징하는 질감의 그래픽과 종이를 사용하여 전시가 시사하는 주제를 시각화하고자 노력했습니다.

<Ordinary People, Splendid History> held at the Gyeongnam Art Museum, focuses on “ordinary people” and their “everyday lives” as recorded in Korean art from the late Joseon Dynasty to the present day. The exhibition examines how the appearance and lives of ordinary people have changed along with the circumstances of the times in Korean history, and aims to shed light on the colorful changes in Korean art history.
EverydayPractice took portraits of ordinary people reflecting different periods and age groups from the works used in the exhibition to create key visuals that transcend time. We tried to visualize the themes of the exhibition by using textured graphics that symbolize splendor.
