Kkotgil Poster
2026

Spring arrives, but it does not arrive in the same way for everyone. Rather than interpreting Kkotgil (꽃길), a Korean typeface designed by Yongje Lee, as a symbol of romance or hope, this work reimagines it as a landscape of a lost era and fading emotions.
The composition is reconstructed from selected words and phrases drawn from Lee Sang-hwa’s Does Spring Come to the Stolen Fields? and Kim Eok’s The Lost Spring. The lingering traces of flowers, appearing as though they are dissolving away, the misaligned layers, and the scattered fragments of language do not seek to form complete sentences. Instead, they evoke memories and emotions that are slowly fading away.
Rather than symbolizing hope, Kkotgil embodies the determination to keep speaking of spring, even in a time when so much has been taken away.
