Zoom back camera!’는 프레임 안의 화각을 넓히며 뒤로 물러나는 행위를 뜻합니다. 알레한드로 조도로프스키 감독의 1973년 작 홀리 마운틴 Holy Mountain에 등장하는 이 시퀀스는 구루(영화 속에 등장하는 연금술사)와 추종자를 지나 그들을 촬영하고 있던 카메라와 붐 마이크, 주변의 스텝들까지 비추며 뒤로 물러납니다. 이 장면은 영화와 현실의 경계를 허물며 예측하지 못했던 상태를 관람객에게 경험하게 하면서 정서적 동요를 일으킵니다. 전시 Zoom back camera는 스승, 멘토, 인플루언서라 불리는 사람들에게 투영된 한 사회의 욕망의 실체는 무엇이며, 출처를 알 수 없는 그 욕망의 자가 증식에 따른 타자 의존적 노출증에 대해 질문합니다. Zoom back camera는 성찰 없는 세계에서 한발 떨어져 프레임 밖의 세상을 조명하는 전시로 SeMA 벙커에서 9월 6일부터 25일까지 진행됩니다.

Zoom back camera!’ means the act of backing away from the angle of the frame. The sequence, which appears in Alejandro Zodovski’s 1973 film [Holy Mountain], backs up past Guru (the alchemist in the film) and his followers, and even the cameras, boom microphones and steps around them. This scene creates emotional agitation, breaking down the boundaries between film and reality and allowing the viewer to experience unforeseen conditions. The exhibition, Zoom back camera, asks what is the substance of a society’s desire, which is projected on people called teachers, mentors, and Influenceers, and about the dependent exposure of that desire, from which the source is unknown.
