The DMZ International Documentary Film Festival is Asia’s leading documentary film festival, expanding the value and meaning of the DMZ (Demilitarized Zone), the only space in the world, and conveying the meaning and value of ‘peace, communication, and life’ through the documentary film.

Everyday Practice approaches the encounter between the DMZ (Demilitarized Zone) and documentary in the sense of ‘boundary and peace’,’recording and expansion’. Using the form characteristics of the festival’s symbol as a motif, elements of the DMZ ecosystem, film equipment, and everyday landscapes are connected through shots of documentation and shots of reality to illustrate the inside and outside of film. The festival’s long-term identity separates DM (demilitarized) and Z (zone) to accurately convey the name of the DMZ.
