속도에서 깊이로는 디지털 세상에 빠져 있는 현대인이 정작 삶의 중요한 가치를 잃어가고 있으며 점차 우리의 사고가 외부 지향적으로 변화하며, 내면을 살피는 대신 바깥 세상에 온 신경을 집중하게 된다고 이야기하고 있습니다. 저자는 모든 연결된 것에서 잠시 벗어나 속도를 늦추고 내면의 깊이에 대하여 생각해보자고 제안합니다. 일상의실천은 책의 프롤로그와 에필로그에 등장하는 디지털과 현실 세계를 연결하는 ‘문’과 디지털 세계의 ‘픽셀’을 모티브로 지면 디자인을 구성하였습니다.

Speed to Depth&is a book about a modern society where we lose valuable things while we’re in the digital world, and instead of looking inside, we focus our attention on the outside world. The author suggests that we should take a break from all the connections and slow down and think about the inner depth. We designed the book with the motif of ‘door’ and ‘pixel’ from digital, which connect the digital and real worlds.
