Published by Humanaitas, <Shesgoesintotheroom> is a collection of life stories from women experiencing homelessness, compiled in collaboration with Homelessness Action’s life history documentation team. The book tells the social circumstances and personal narratives of women experiencing homelessness from various perspectives of each character. The book allows us to confront the realities of poverty, violence, and inequality experienced by vulnerable women in our society.
Everyday Practice depicts a common location and object motifs from the life stories of women experiencing homelessness in the book cover of <Shesgoesintotheroom>. We reconstructed the shapes of the hand drawings and handwriting that women experiencing homelessness made during their life stories, designed to mimic the texture of a handwritten poster(Daejabo) from a scene of the street, providing a visual representation of the book’s content.
