Say Hello&is the first solo exhibition by photographer Park Jong Sik, who won the Ilwoo Foundation Annual Award. Every photos on display in Say Hello&captures the labor issue that are currently underway in Korean society without the exaggeration or distortion. Facing the pictures full of voices on the scene, you can see why he takes pictures of them. He said, ‘Introduction of a fired worker’s portrait to a newspaper is the best solidarity I can do as a photographer.’ Non-regular workers who work like full-time workers but still earn low salaries, a fired worker who climbed up 75-meter-high chimney, irregular workers who had to kill themselves… He gives ‘hello’ to those who are not well-off with a faint hope.

We wanted to show the contradictions of capitalism through the display of two photos, a fired workers on the chimney and a a company manager’s gesture of sarcasm on the red color background.
