Nabiclub Novel Series is a collection of mystery novels with a “thoughtful gaze that crosses genres.” It features new and diverse styles and a penetrating view of society from Korean authors who cross genres such as mystery, science fiction, hardboiled, thriller, fantasy, and authentic literature.

Everyday Practice designed the cover for Thảo, the fourth full-length novel in the series. The cover graphic visualises Korean society, the serial assaults and murders surrounding the death of Vietnamese international student Thảo, with an image of a cold, sharp green forest. Within the forest’s tangled vines and lush trees, pictograms symbolising the story’s central character, Thảo, and the locations of the murders are placed to represent the crime thriller genre and allude to the novel’s focus on the absurdity of victimisation.
