Manifold는 예술경영지원센터의 ‘예비 전속작가제 지원 사업’의 일환으로, 예술가들과 갤러리들을 위한 비대면 온라인 플랫폼입니다. ‘Manifold’는 ‘다양체’라는 의미로, 스물 다섯 명 작가의 독자적인 영역(zone)인 동시에 열 한 개 갤러리의 영역이기도 합니다.
일상의실천은 위상수학에서 다루는 ‘다양체’의 개념을 차용해 입체인 동시에 평면으로 엮인 영역을 구성했습니다. 입체와 평면의 질서가 혼재된 다양체 영역은 서로가 특정 위계가 없는 동일 선상의 영역이기도 합니다. 분절된 작가의 영역이 모여 하나의 갤러리 권역을 이루는 모티프로 Manifold의 의미를 담고 있습니다.

Manifold is a non-face-to-face online platform for artists and galleries as part of the Arts Management Support Center’s ‘Pre-Exclusive Writers’ Support Project’. “Manifold” means “diversity,” which is the independent zone of 25 artists and also the territory of 11 galleries.
We borrowed the concept of ‘diversity’ from the phase space and constructed a plane-bound area at the same time. This poster design expressed the theme of Manifold by visualizing the area of the divided artist gathering to create a single gallery area.
