공생의 도구는 도구가 인간을 지배하는 시대를 비판하며 인간성의 회복을 희망했던 사상가 이반 일리치의 논점에서 출발한 청주공예비엔날레의 본전시 입니다. 공생의 도구는 오늘날 물질 만능화와 세계화 속에서 획일화 된 삶을 살아가고 있는 상품 소비자로서의 개개인에게, 공생 사회를 위한 책임 있는 도구 사용은 어떠해야 하는가를 묻고 있습니다.
일상의실천은 전시를 구성하는 4개의 섹션, 노동, 생명, 언어, 아카이브를 상징하는 그래픽과, 인간과 도구, 자연과 인공의 관계를 시각화 한 이미지와 타이포그래피의 조합을 통해 공생이라는 추상적 개념을 구체화하기 위해 노력했습니다.
청주공예비엔날레 본 전시 공생의 도구는 청주 문화제조창에서 2021년 9월 8일(수) ~ 2021년 10월 17일(일)까지 진행됩니다.

“Tools for Convivality” is the main exhibition of the Cheongju Crafts Biennale, which began with the point of Ivan Illich, a thinker who criticized the era in which tools dominate humans and hoped to restore humanity. Tools for Convivalence asks individuals who live a uniform life today in capitalism and globalization what responsible tools should use for a symbiotic society.
We visualized the four sections of the exhibition, Labor, Life, Language and Archive, through objects and typography. Through this, we tried to materialize the abstract concept of “Conviviality” through a combination of images that visualized the relationship between man and tool and nature and artificial.
The Main Exhibition of Cheongju Craft Biennale 2021 Tools For Convivality&Cheongju Cultural Manufacturing Center runs from September 8, 2021 (Wednesday) to October 17, 2021 (Sunday).
