Manamoana: Art of the Sacred Sea, Oceania is a special exhibition held at the National Museum of Korea that explores the spirit and artistry of the Oceanic region.

Everyday Practice developed the key visual by placing a central artifact image at the forefront and combining it with patterns inspired by Oceanic art and typography reminiscent of wave rhythms, aiming to express the exhibition’s vibrancy and visual identity.

The red and blue motifs—symbolizing the Ring of Fire and the sea—draw from the curved lines, geometric shapes, and dense, repetitive structures seen in artifacts and traditional tattoos.

The exhibition title was designed to flow like a wave, reflecting the curves and forms found in Oceanic motifs. Each letterform was crafted with continuous curves and bold shapes to convey the dynamic energy of the exhibition.

Through this key visual, Everyday Practice sought to reinterpret the visual language of Oceanic art in a contemporary graphic format, allowing viewers to intuitively experience the exhibition’s theme through imagery.
