Humanitas’s Our Drama is an oral biography that listens to and records lives that are often too close to see clearly. Following the stories of fathers, mothers-in-law, partners, and mentors—people long connected to the recorder—it traces the time of care workers, garment workers, cleaning workers (North Korean defectors), and laborers fighting for reinstatement.

EVERYDAY PRACTICE designed the cover with the motif of a screenplay, reflecting the book’s structure of nine episodes. Across three spreads, the voices of all narrators are widely arranged, and symbols representing the tone of each episode are placed to create a sense of familiarity. Directional terms used in film scripts were selectively incorporated, and the texture of folded paper—bearing traces of time and record—was used as a background to evoke the layered nature of lived histories.
