《시작부터 지금》은 과거부터 현재까지 인류가 직면했던 다양한 이슈들에 민감하게 반응했던 작업들을 울산 근대화의 상징인 중구 문화의거리를 배경으로 소개하는 미술제입니다. 인류는 눈부신 진보와 발전을 이루어 왔지만, 자본주의를 중심으로 발전한 현대 사회는 땅의 점유, 이념의 대립, 기술의 발전, 대량생산 대량소비를 구심점으로 삼아 구축되었습니다. 그 과정에서 다른 생명체의 경시, 인간들 사이의 다툼, 우리가 사는 환경의 파괴 등 다양한 문제 역시 초래해왔고, 이러한 우행(愚行)들은 현재에도 시대와 장소를 초월하여 과거와 닮은 모습을 한 채 반복되고 있습니다.
일상의실천은 《시작부터 지금》이 담고 있는 문제의식을 어딘가 나사가 풀린듯한, 온전한 형체를 지니고 있지 못한 케릭터를 통해 시각화하고자 했습니다. 또한 마치 꼬여버린 실타래처럼 얽혀있는 라인을 통해 인류가 걸어온 현명하지만은 못했던 행보를 표현하고자 했습니다.

From Now to Now is an art festival that introduces works that have been sensitive to various issues facing mankind from the past to the present. The capitalist modern society was built on the basis of land occupation, ideological confrontation, technological advancement, mass production, and mass consumption. In the process, various problems have also been caused, such as the belittling of other life forms, conflicts among humans, and the destruction of the environment in which we live, and these foolish actions are repeated today, transcending the times and places.
Everyday Practice tried to visualize the problem consciousness contained in this art festival through a character whose eyes look blurry and foolish. We also tried to express the steps that mankind has taken through a tangled line like a twisted thread.
