Caring by Design explores the meaning of public design through the care and labor that continue long after spaces are built. Highlighting practices such as cleaning, mending, repair, and inspection that sustain everyday life, the exhibition considers cities and buildings as environments that require ongoing care and maintenance.

EVERYDAY PRACTICE reinterpreted familiar elements of the city—roads, traffic lights, benches, and lighting—as simple geometric graphics. We connected the distinctive forms of these objects with the structure of Hangul letterforms, varying their scale and orientation to compose the exhibition’s Korean title, “돌봄의 디자인.” By developing both black-and-white lettering that emphasizes typographic structure and colorful graphics that bring out the character of each object, we sought to reveal how care is embedded in everyday objects and environments.
