Autopoietic City is an exhibition that tells the story of Pohang City, South Korea, known for its steel industry. Pohang is a city with many faces: a hub for the steel industry and the Yeongil Bay with three ports, each with a different character. This exhibition brings together the people, industry, culture, and history of Pohang to question the meaning of the city’s complexity.

Everyday Practice interweaves mechanical forms from parts of the steel industry with the currents of Yeongil Bay and the curves of the coastline to form the exhibition identity. The exhibition’s key visuals are a main poster and a silhouette poster, symbolizing the complex face of the city.
