Pic Book for Seoul biennale of Architecure and Urbanism 2021

The theme of 2021 Seoul biennale of Architecure and Urbanism(SBAU2021) is CROSSROADS, Building the resilient city. CROSSROADS is composed by 5 subjects, which are ‘ABOVE / BELOW, ‘HERITAGE / MODERN, ‘CRAFT / DIGITAL’, ‘NATURAL / ARTIFICIAL’, ‘SAFE / RISK’. SBAU2021 will be implemented at Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP), Seoul Hall of Urbanism and Architecture (SHUA), and Sewoon Plaza in a variety of projects and exhibitions. Thematic + Cities Exhibition and field projects representing each subtopic will run from September 16 to October 31, 2021 as a medium for delivering the theme of SBAU2021 in pursuit of sustainable urban growth.

The Seoul Urban Architecture Biennale Picture Book, titled Memories of a Binary During the Pandemic, is an archive photograph Book containing information on biennale records and works centered on the keywords Modules, Interfaces, Physicality, Locality, and Catalog. Everyday Practice categorized the categories into five keywords that make up the biennale, and designed a picturebook by placing a photo of the biennale’s record in a wide layout corresponding to each section.
