Manifesto of Spring, a special exhibition marking the 10th anniversary of the National Asian Culture Center, explores how the meaning of “spring,” long regarded as a symbol of democracy, has transformed under today’s social, political, and ecological conditions. At the intersection of Asia’s modern and contemporary upheavals—capital, colonialism, and the climate crisis—the exhibition considers the possibilities of resistance and solidarity while examining the diverse relationships between human and non-human beings.

The catalogue design focuses on how the exhibition’s layered structure can be experienced as a book. The cover employs embossing, silver metallic ink, and a strong contrast of black and white to engage both touch and light, while densely juxtaposing motifs in which human and non-human figures intertwine.

Rather than presenting a single center or fixed interpretation, the design creates a structure in which multiple perspectives coexist through the interplay of images, typography, and varied editorial compositions.
