Yoo Youngkuk: A Mountain Within Me is a retrospective exhibition celebrating more than six decades of Yoo Youngkuk’s artistic practice, one of the pioneers of Korean abstract art. From his early abstract experiments in the 1930s to the contemplative works of his later years, the exhibition traces the visual language of the “mountain”—a recurring motif that became both a landscape and a structure of memory throughout his life.
