Circuits of Chance is an exhibition co-organized by the Nam June Paik Art Center and the Museum of Contemporary Art, Zagreb. It traces the intersections between Nam June Paik’s art and Croatian media art—from the New Tendencies movement of 1960s Zagreb to contemporary digital practice. Two currents with different origins meet in unexpected points of contact, forming a shared field of feedback.

The key visual translates the exhibition’s central ideas—discontinuity and chance—into a visual language. Fields of color bleed across the surface like thermal imaging, surfacing through signals, noise, and interference. Dotted circuit lines trace the moments when art from different times and places connects by chance. Traces of mechanical error are left intact, reflecting an attitude shared by both traditions: technology not as an instrument of control, but as a medium of chance and resonance.
