The 5th anniversary white paper of the Busan Museum of Contemporary Art(MoCA Busan), “Busan, Museum, Contemporary,” contains records of the background of the establishment of the MoCA Busan, exhibitions held over the past five years, and the role of contemporary art museums. The white paper, which is composed of the names of the MoCA Busan, is divided into three sections: “Busan,” “Museum,” and “Contemporary.” “Busan” covers the history of the museum’s establishment on Eulsukdo Island (Natural Monument No. 179). ‘Museum’ contains information on the various exhibitions and operations conducted from 2018 to 2023. “Contemporary” introduces the role of contemporary art museums and includes various testimonies and critiques surrounding the museum.

Everyday Practice uses fluorescent ink on the book cover to express the transformation of the museum’s exterior, from its initial beige-colored structure to its current appearance, which features plants installed on the entire exterior wall through French botanist Patrick Blanc’s “Vertical Garden.” The cover, which appears beige in daylight but turns green in the dark, symbolically represents the museum’s evolution. Additionally, the design incorporates the main motifs of the custom typeface and symbol mark following the 2023-renewed MoCA Busan identity guide.
