“I’ll Fight, Because I’m Not Dead is the story of the 500-day struggle of Kim Jin-ju, a victim of the Busan Kick Case, and a book of advice and comfort for victims of crime who cannot easily come forward.

The author and victim of the case, Kim Jin-ju, was kicked in the back for no reason by a stranger one day, trampled repeatedly, abandoned, and left paralysed, but miraculously recovered. She has struggled with her own efforts against the perpetrators who use loopholes in the judicial system to escape, the limitations of the law that fails to represent the victim’s position, and continues to speak out for social change.

EVERYDAY PRACTICE expressed Kim’s attitude of being the ‘most flamboyant victim’ and standing up to her perpetrators with high-saturated colours, and visualised the meaning that she is not fighting alone and that only ‘our’ attention and participation can bring about change through a typographic design in which small particles come together to form a single letter.
